Circulator

The Circulator is a system maintained by various Business Improvement Districts around Washington, DC. It is intended to fill in Metro's service gaps in popular areas, such as Georgetown, Adams Morgan, the Mall, and Waterfront.

Circulator Routes

Here's a list of links to each of the Circulator's individual routes, including specific stops, maps, hours, and announcements.

Using the Circulator

Getting to the bus
The most convenient access point to Gallaudet students is at Union Station, in the bus parking garage on the same level as the Gallaudet University Shuttle. See above for transfer costs to other Circulator lines.

Gallaudet University provides a free shuttle between campus and Union Station. The Gallaudet University Shuttle schedule is available online. Bookmark this page; schedules can change at any time!

Fares
Fares are $1 maximum and may be paid in cash, change, or via SmarTrip. See Circulator's fare page for more information on any discounts or considerations that may apply.

Getting on and getting off
To get on the Circulator at a location other than Union Station, one needs merely to wait at one of the Circulator stops visible on the map above and signal the driver.

To get off the Circulator, one must press a "STOP" button or pull a cord to request a stop. The cords are located along the tops of the windows; buttons are located on metal poles and on some walls throughout the bus. To exit, one may use the doors located in the middle of the bus; instructions will be visible on how to open those doors (generally a large silver button on a pole next to the door).
