About this list Print Page

Where to get the LPF periodicals

Most of the periodicals in the Little Paper Family are available at the Gallaudet University Library in microfilm. Some of the schools may have digitized their publications and links for those will be added as they are identified.

Indexing of the LPF

There is no index to any of these LPF publications. No one ever bothered to make an index. The only way to find articles in them is to search the publications, page by page.

Extent of the list

  • There are not really as many LPF periodicals as this list makes it seem.  Most periodicals are entered in this list multiple times. They appear once under each title variation and then each of those entries includes a list of the other title variations. The actual number of LPF periodicals is less than one-fourth as many as it appears to be.
  • Please note, too, that this is not a complete list of all deaf school periodicals. There are a number of other deaf school periodicals that do not fall into the scope of this list.  For example, newsletters for parents and alumni bulletins, as well as periodicals that began publication after World War II, are not included.
