This guide has been designed to assist students researching global business and international topics.  The databases recommended will lead to high-quality journal and newspaper articles on a variety of topics. Careful selection of keywords and search terms will make the process faster and more enjoyable.

Helpful hints:

  • Industrial nations are the easiest to research. You should be able to find information about them in journal and newspaper articles, books, and the Web sites recommended in this LibGuide.
  • Third World nations, less industrialized, and African nations tend to be the hardest to research.  You might have to try researching several countries until you find one that has enough information available for your puposes.

Choosing sources:

  • For current business information, try the article database Lexis-Nexis. It can be tricky to search, so make an appointment with a librarian who can help you.
  • For in-depth information, history, and analysis, books are usually the best choice.
